Portion control is more flexible than people think. While the end goal is always the same, the implementation can be different for different people. The end goal of portion control is that it is important not to eat more than your body or lifestyle requires you to because extra calories get stored as fat. However, some people weigh everything they eat and record every single calorie they take in, while other people just use the visual method and estimate the amount of food on their plate. The concept of portion control is different for each person and each person finds what works best for them. Because each person’s success is based on how they can implement portion control, they need to be comfortable with how they implement this part of the lifestyle modification program. Otherwise they won't do it or won't be able to do it as well.
